UAL have been very accomodating to me in the past regarding int'l js. They truly are a superb bunch and have always been very welcoming.
I use them regularly to travel home(U.K) to see family. Just make sure you are on their js list and are approved for int'l travel.

I just came back from LHR about 2 weeks ago and had no problem. You obviously have to have a seat in the back but beyond that as long as you are on the approved list it shouldn't be a problem.
