Hello, just looking for any JS coordinators out there who could help me start some kind of JS agreement/document to send out to flight departments. Right off the bat, the major road block is that we are non sched 135, but I do know that there are carriers out there that allow this, as long as these 135 outfits are on thier "list". I've been assigned to this and I figured there'd be no better place to start than here. I know I have to start by "contacting the JS coordinators at the airlines you want to work something out with", but thats where I'm looking for the help. Please post or PM me with any info.

We fly non sched jets out of the boston area and frequent the NYC area so that could help w/ commuting if we have repos.

Thanks everyone.

Jumpseating = personal business. Repos = company business. As such, what you call "commuting" is actually called "deadheading" (positive space) & should be provided for by your employer. No ill will intended here but jumpseating IS NOT so that some non-sched 135 operator wouldn't have to provide travel to the pilots. I'm also not certain you'll find anyone willing to reciprocate with what you appear to have to offer in return. My 2 cents. Good luck.

I admire you for wanting to try to establish agreements with other airlines. In a perfect world, all airline pilots would be able to freely move around the country in empty seats. Although I would be happy to put you in touch with all of the other coordinators (PM me your contact info), I also don't want you to get your hopes up.

Without an ability to reciprocate very well, you will face many challenges in trying to get an agreement. Airplanes are more full than ever and if you end up taking a seat that otherwise would go to someone from a carrier that was able to better reciprocate, that may create problems. I get one to two calls per month from the pilots I represent who are upset that we take a non-sched. 135 pilot that walks up to the gate, but then have no more seats for the Delta pilot that happens to show up 5 minutes later. For this reason, I can't/won't sign any agreements with a non-scheduled 135 unless there is some benefit that my pilots can utilize.

But like I said, get me your info and I will pass it along.

Good Luck.

You miss read what I was saying about repos. I was saying if any of YOU were trying to commute to NY, you could hop on a repo HERE. I wasnt saying we'd repo a crew via jumpseating. I know all about that stuff, that is not what I was saying. Sorry for the confusion. I know how it all works I was an airline supervisor for a few years too. Guess I should have stayed there huh haha

Understood, thanks for clarifying, although FL Jumpseat's assessment is pretty accurate. Also, I don't think you will find many volunteering their respective union's J/S coordinators'/chairs' contact info on this forum for the right reasons. If I were you, I'd, probably, start with contacting each individual union in a more formal way (letter?): NPA, SWAPA, etc. Not sure who you'd contact at jetBlue... Anyways, not much help here but it is what it is. I hope it works out for ya,
