Where are their interviews held?

All new hires lately are going to the Beech 1900, the base wont matter, it will be in the middl of no where and you will be reserve only.

Mesa huh, pick the base whose town has the lowest rent and is the most generous with the food stamps.

DONT DO IT!! Have some self respect.

Think of a town where the women have one tooth, and everyone is related...that's you're new base! Have fun...

the scary part is that they're having no problems filling meat in the seat for these jobs for $18,000/yr..

I still can't believe it when I reflect on it.

As has been said before....there are better options. Don't come here.

This company doesn't give a crap about you or your family. Most of us have many, many examples of this.

I work for Mesa. Go to CHQ. Please. -Bean

ps To answer your question, IAD is the Jr base for the CRJ. Don't know about the rest. Go to CHQ!!!

Wouldn't worry about domiciles (probably IAD or ORD for 1 year of 6 days on/2 days off with 10 hours each day sitting in the airport in uniform) . . . these change all the time w/o warning.

I obliquely defend Mesa more than anyone here (shudder) . . . and I have to say . . . DON'T DO IT!!

Seriously . . . go to Skywest or Republic. They're hiring like crazy, and their work rules, pay, domiciles, upgrades are all WAY better.

Most Mesa f/o's are heading to Skywest after their 1 yr training letter expires, and most Captains are bailing when they can and I suspect if Republic ever street-hires captains alot of guys are gonna head there.

Hopefully, if MESA can keep up the current attrition rate here by maintaining their poor QOL issues...with both new FO's leaving and captains leaving at alarming rates...there will be no Mesa soon.

This clown management will pick up on the problem, well after they figure out they have 500 pilots to negotiate the new contract with, instead of 1900.

Vote with your feet.

Enough of this "RAH to hire street Captains" nonsense. Won't happen. We may not have the strongest union, but our leadership gets real motivated when it comes to these kind of blatant contract violations. We have 800 F/O's sitting around, waiting for the upgrade, of which at least 400-500 are eligible for immediate upgrade if the opportunity arose. The company would just end up paying all the affected F/O's captain pay if such a thing were to happen, and the company is wayyyy too cheap for that.

A decent paycheck and QOL doesn't motivate you, but God forbid the airline hire a QUALIFIED captain off the street to fill a seat that can't be filled with the 800 hour wonders whoring themselves out for this airline and now you get pissed! Give me a break!

Grab your nuts and raise the bar for once! Learn from UAL ALPA or DALPA..

Ok, Jack*ss:

Decent paycheck and QOL were addressed with our current contract...this contract was a massive improvement over the previous one. You can't get it all at once. ALPA will tell you that. And 2007 is our time to begin negotiations. Contracts are ammended every so often, and improvements are made. You seem to not know that. I also metioned that there were 400-500 F/O's qualified to upgrade... by qualified I mean possessing over 2500 hours, not 800. And, since you are sooo pro-union, then surely you understand the principle of seniority. Filling the highest paid positions with junior employees does not follow with the goals of a union and organized labor.
And as for DAL and UAL ALPA... what a great lesson they have given, in giving up scope time after time, agreeing to concessionary contracts, etc. RAH has not gone backwards since 9/11, and it isn't going to happen now. I haven't whored myself out to this company one bit, and I don;t intend to start. Sorry you aren;t happy with your job.

Well said..I don't like MESA either but this is only their second contract. I laugh at the LOSERS who constantly bash MESA to make themselves feel better. Grow up people. If we all took a stand as PILOTS and worked together we would be much better off.

I just left hell, err I mean Mesa. Dont walk, run far far away from this place. They call this place SkyWest Pilot Development for a reason.

If we all took a stand as pilots we would not accecpt jobs at places like Mesa, that would be make us all a lot better off.

Also, there are no 800 hour wonders at CHQ. A few from thw delta connection academy with 1000, but i think we may have the highest standing minimums out there now. I don't see them changing either, we are filling classes with more qualified people than other regionals at the moment.

How senior is the Hawaii operation? Which of the island domiciles are senior vs. junior within Hawaii? You would have to be rich to live there regardless - but might be nice to get some surfing time if you could afford it...

You will get some surfing done because you will live on the beach. I know two flight attendants that were in a crash pad with me and they pay 500 each for a room in a two bedroom loft. Hawaii is senior though. No real chance for a new hire.

If you don't live in one of our domicles don't come here!

Or worse... all those Hawaii pilots who applied at the go! job fair thinking they would be flying CRJs in Hawaii.

Nope, they're now CRJ FO's on reserve in IAD. They aren't senior enough to hold anything in Hawaii.

Unlikely you'll get this. I haven't seen any movement to Hawaii, certainly not newhires.

Actually, Mesa just downsized their main reserve base of HNL. Reliablity is so good there they didn't need so many reserves.

I wish this were the case in, oh, every frikin non-Hawaii place we fly.
