Chief Pilot - Aviation Services

Summary:
As the Chief Pilot, you will be responsible for managing and directing the CAS flight staff, including pilots and cabin safety attendants, while ensuring the level of service meets or exceeds customer expectations. Reporting to the CAS Manager, you will be expected to ensure all government, industry and Xerox safety and operational requirements are met. In addition, the Chief Pilot assists with ensuring the CAS Flight Operations are managed as a business center, with a focus on achieving annual business plans that include expense plan, capital spending, staffing targets, and the annual training plan.

Responsibilities:


* Develop, recommend, and administer policies, standard operating procedures and flight crew training objectives for CAS Flight Operations.

* Develop and deploy consistent and disciplined people selection, development, and retention practices that ensure continuity for critical positions.

* Review and inspect CAS Flight Operations processes such as flight crew scheduling, flight crew training, line checks and pilot proficiency exams.


Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 8000 hours of flight experience, preferably with global corporate aircraft experience. The successful candidate must have Bombardier Challenger experience and 601/604 is preferred. This role requires a strong communicator that is able to manage through cross-functional environments. In addition, this person must be able to establish and maintain rapport with corporate executives, customers, other company guests and industry associates.

Additional requirements include:


* Proven track record of leading and functioning within a team environment.

* Demonstrated involvement in industry associations.

* Ability to delegate and utilize pilots to complete projects.

* High professional ethics, good judgment, the ability to take decisive action.

* Ability to maintain adherence to and apply new FAA requirements.

* Experienced in the use and creation of scheduling processes and software tools.

* A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university, classes in management is preferred.
