Hi Folks,

Not sure if this is the right forum but I'll give it a try.

I got an SIC type rating on the CL-65 in Feb 06 and flew the plane until April 2007. Now I have a job offer where the company(not a US regional) is asking me if a reccurent training would be enough to reactivate my currency on the plane or should I go through a whole initial training.

Thanks

After 24 months is generally when another initial is required. Anytime before that a recurrent or "quick requal" should suffice, but bottom line is it's up to the regulating authority. The company hiring you should know, however. I find it unusal that they are asking you for that info.

Ok, Thanks.

If I understand correctly it depends on the company.

In any case the clock starts ticking after the initial PC, correct? A PT wouldn't extend the validity time. I got a PT in April 2007, but my currency would be based on my initial PC of 2006, correct?

Thanks

I just reread your post. Recurrent with a good grd school review and a couple of sim warm-ups should be good for the avg guy.
