Hi Everyone,

I found this "job interest" assessment through the NY Department of Labor. It is free, so I thought I would give you all a chance to take it. It takes about 2 minutes max to take. I had to laugh at my results. It said that I should be an airline attendant, but NOT a flight attendant! Darn, I wish I would have known that before I spent so many years doing it! :) It also said I should be a doctor!

Believe me, it is not indepth at all. Go to the "version" that best describes your computer capability. (i.e., flash, text, etc.) Then go to "assess yourself" and it will bring up about six different "types" of career interests. Select which one fits you best, then you will do the same thing two more times. After you are finished, it will give you the careers that would most interest you.

Have fun and I look forward to hearing what everyone "should" be doing instead of being a pilot!! :D

Wow! I am way off with my career choice. I should be involved in Painting, Construction, or Maintenance. It did mention operating various heavy equipment, so I will consider an aircraft to fall in that category, ha ha ha!

Heavy equipment, construction and painting...hmmm! :D Some of these really "basic" tests crack me up!

Don't feel bad, I'm supposed to be a professional food taster!
Maybe you could convince someone at the next restaurant you go to that you are there to "professionally" taste their food! :) You would have to bring along the print out with you to prove it!!

Brattice Builders

Job Description

Build doors or brattices (ventilation walls or partitions) in underground passageways to control the proper circulation of air through the passageways and to the working places.

WOW

Mine also said that I could be a Funeral Attendant or.....(drum roll please...)

Locker Room, Coatroom, Dressing Room Attendant

Provide personal items to patrons or customers in locker rooms, dressing rooms, or coatrooms.

I knew there was something more that I should be aspiring to...

I did come up with Personnel Recruiter, though. At least I did one profession right according to them!!
