Hello,

I've heard of this "JETS OFR JOBS" Term being thrown around at places like Mesa and Allegheny. Can someone please give the info. on this: what it is, what it means, etc.

Thanks for your help :)

I believe it's a term that comes from a management proposal to eliminate or reduce furloughs if the MEC will allow the carrier to get RJ's for their other carriers (getting around the scope clause).

I could be wrong - can anyone confirm?

It is a wonderful program that for one of the express carriers to get more or any rjs, half of the new positions must go to mailine furloughed pilots. Allegheny agreed along with many other carriers. We faired well and are being merged into Piedmont next month. We are wondering what Airways wants to do with our certificate. We are also assuming that the new Piedmont will be sold shortly after the merger, but who really knows. If you have more questions about it, let me know.

Jets for Jobs is the biggest crock of sh*t around. Mainline doesn't want a flow through when times are good, but once they see themselves getting screwed WATCH OUT!!! It's all about them
