Are there any J4J's at TSA? Does anyone have a copy of the contract they could send me. Paid during training? Paid hotels?? Thanks for the help.

During training you're paid 60 hours per month at the first year pay rate. You're totally on your own for acommodations.

None on the current seniority list.........

Ah, good ol' U. Not following the agreement requiring them to offer the backfill vacancies from the very few who went there originally, what a surprise! Don't worry, I don't think anyone wants 'em anyway, it's just the principle.

Well the agreement was for 2 CAs and 2 FOs for each new aircraft (on the Airways side) we got after the agreement was signed. We got a single airplane after that so there were 2 Capts (nobody wanted the FO seats) at any given time under J4J. Now, of course, our airways operation is a fraction of its former size and that 1 airplane is sporting other colors. I think Airways has followed the agreement.

The agreement was followed, but few takers came. There was at least one who came as a captain at least 1 or 2 years after the agreement was signed, but bottom of the captain list is 10 days off on reserve forever. He didn't last very long before he had enough of that. I think there are still a couple of guys who have stuck it out so far, but I haven't worked there since last year so I don't know if they stayed.

We had 2 ex USAir guys who came over, as Captains. There was also 1 girl who was in a newhire class who was also ex USAir and tried to come into the J4J program, but as she had been hired off the street, she couldn't and actually resigned when she was given a J41 CQFO slot. Classy woman.
Both J4J Captains were good guys and they lasted about a year. Like the last post said, always on reserve, 10 days off...
One went to a corp. job, the other I don't remember.

As far as the aircraft, think it got painted as a "company/spare" bird.

I'm betting we are out of the USAirways business by this time next year. Will be a shame. Nice non-rev benifits, decent gate agents, people speak english as a first language, etc.

Always
