yep, but really it should have little effect on what you fly, as it sounds like there will be no reservists at the virtual bases for the most part, so the line holders leave and take their flying with them... net gain or loss for junior folks? hard to say, but minimal I would bet. For those who live in the virtual bases its great though.

I can see this only working out for the JFK folks. Someone who bids out of say LGB for OAK, or FLL for MCO, then JB decides to close OAK/MCO, those pilots might not be able to bid back. The worst thing that can happen to the JFK guys is thay have to go back and commute to their original base.

Question for you folks. I am hoping to hear the good word from the peeps department on a job with you guys. There are a lot of thigs I like about B6 but the biggest for me is trying to get BOS...do you think OAK will go junior or Senior. i would hate to have to realize a 30K lossof income in year one and have to commute to OAK from BOS.

I know OAK is junior for WN....

Thanks for the insight.

Way senior.. don't worry about it for 6 months plus... You will be JFK based during training and should get BOS within a few months.. as always your mileage may vary... If you are E190 you may get BOS very quickly..

Yeah what Phil said. There are only 10 FO positions in OAK, and believe me there is NO WAY you'll be drafted there against your will. BOS is still attainable fairly quickly in either plane.

A virtual base??? does that mean you can do a 'virutal show'?

That's got to have some great conversations with CS!

...yeah, I was there...well...virurally...what's the problem!???
