Nashville was in the 190 bid packet about 3 months before it was ever announced also. It also could be a charter, right?

I saw CAK in our list of cities to choose from on our bidding program. It hasn't been announced, but it could have been put in there prematurely.
Those who have access to jetBlue's ClassBid program can look and see for yourselves. It was in there last night.

CAK = Akron, Ohio

Cak? That sounds like the sound you make when you get Akron stuck in your throat. Can you avoid an entire state in ClassBid?

:p

Was this a pairing, if so what's the number? Or was this on the avoid list. Thanks

Pro Football Hall of Fame game in Canton, OH just around the same time frame. Sounds like a charter to me. Check which teams are playing and see if jetBlue flies from those city pairs.

It's a charter as confirmed in recurrent gs.

I think there would be room for B6 at MCI. No carrier has replaced the void left from Vanguard's demise. There are no empty terminals per se, but there are plenty of empty gates.

I didn't realize that Vanguard's demise left much of a void.

The BNA flight that was in the bid packet 3 months ago was for a charter. Same with CAK.

It's the only viable option for an immediate midwest hub. It will serve as a nice link to the jetblue cities in the NW, West, and SW. Cities like ROC, SYR, Burlington, RIC, JAX, FLL, MCO, and dozens of future stations will find the non congested transfer a pleasure compared to other major hubs.

:pimp:

JetBlue will be too busy adding flights to JFK and BOS. New gates at JFK in 2008 and already have 10+ at BOS to grow. Furthermore, next focus city is probably MCO as they have added MCO-SYR, MCO-BUR, MCO-SJU to already MCO-JFK, MCO-BOS, MCO-EWR. If they go to STL, in will be one's and two's, not a HUB. Connecting the dots as a point to point carrier, JB won't be going into STL in great numbers.

Yeah, they will grow those markets, but Jetblue will have 30 planes per year coming to market and there is no way BOS/JFK/MCO can absorb that kind of growth and also see a transitional redistribution of a/c due to the adjusted model for shorter stage length.

Neeleman was recently quoted: He also noted that JetBlue is heavily concentrated on the East Coast, along with a few West Coast and Caribbean destinations, and suggested the airline could look to establish a Midwest hub as it fills in the route map. The airline might want to establish a link between that hub and Portland in the future, Neeleman said.

I think this all but confirms Jetblue's plans for STL if the speculation is true. I see Jetblue adding another 10 cities in 2007, and you may be surprised to find most of those in the Midwest and West of the Mississippi.

When Jet Blue announces STL AA will announce a new contract with XJET for 69 new RJ to compete.

If they do that, AA will have one huge grievance/lawsuit on their hands courtesy of ALPA. ALL that flying should be OURS at EAGLE and we won't take another coming on OUR property to do OUR flying.
