Has anyone had a problem getting a PIN# when filling out the online jetBlue application?
The reason I ask is a friend whom I wanted to write a rec for has tried several times to apply then update and get his PIN# but he only recieves an email that says his application has been recieved and during the update it says "congrats we have recieved your update" but he has never been able to get a PIN#
Thanks in advance for info.

pin problem

Your friend should receive an email that confirms the receipt of his app as well as his app # and pin #. If he hasn't received an email at all, then he may have mistyped it into the online application. If he's getting the email, the app# and pin# should be on about the seventh line. It's a computer generated email but may be using some sort of HTML or font that his mail reader doesn't support.

Hope that helps.

How long?

About how long does it take to get the email confirmation and PIN? I submitted last week and still haven't seen anything. Thanks.

TS,
As soon as the web page indicates acceptance of your update it immediately sends out the email. Make sure you provided an accurate email address w/your online application. It could be trying to send it to a bogus email account you mistakenly provided. Your email software may also be filtering it out as junk mail if you have that option enabled.

I have also found it to be nearly instantaneous. By the time I close Internet Explorer and open Outlook Express - it's there.
