jetBlue OAK domicile?

Is jetBlue going to open an Oakland, CA pilot domicile instead of Long Beach? That is what I heard from a jetBlue new hire.

Well the guessing game continues. With as much flying as we're spinning up for in LGB, David and Dave are convinced we can operate without LGB being a crew base. An airline hub, yes.

Lanny (our Chief Pilot) told our class in April (yes, I'm a new hire sitting reserve) they were considering making OAK a crew base.

Of course, everyone assumes FLL will be the next too.

It's a great rumor and one I'm willing to believe. But then I commute from OAK and I'm dreaming.
