How's the corporate life treating you?
Bye Bye--General Lee
Not too bad. I enjoy my little Lear 45 and spending a lot of time in Cabo with the owner. I don't miss the airlines at all.

How's the corporate life treating you?
Bye Bye--General Lee
You're pretty mistaken, and uninformed, as usual. But we've come to expect that from an 1800 hour mesa wonder. I NEVER touted paycuts were a good thing.
Hey, speaking of trough, how did the tire change go on the trailer?
I bet with the holidays you were able to upgrade to snow tires.
What's even funnier is that this is a Jet Blue thread, yet spanky clown can't help himself that he has to drag old Delta into it. I can only imagine how pissed he is at himself that the best he'll be able to do is go jets! Those job rejections and that pathetic pay must really be bothering you sport!![]()

Wow...you've totally lost touch with reality. Everyone knows you are GL, 737, Heavy Set, and a handful of others. So, I will hand it to you, you did a good job logging in on your PC and your laptop at the same time. Congrats. Once again, we're all fooled. It is impressive that you take the time to respond to yourself with different identities. I'm sorry that I exposed that your only friends are imaginary or in your Dungeons and Dragons club. Perhaps you should look into secondlife.com and making some friends there. Good luck.
By the way, don't have a desk job. Line pilot...who makes more money than you....and will make even more than you in '08.
Here I am. What's Tanker Dork saying now?
If my pay is pathetic then your pay is a discrace to aviation. Remember General 737 Heavy Set, I make MORE than you do. It's a fact. Sorry. Ask some ex military guys. I probably make about $25K a year more than a Delta 12 year 777 guy. Sorry you guys took a pay cut, but that's your fault, not mine. If you hadn't taken it like a beotch, then you would make more than a 17 year AF pilot.

Really?I don't see ANY long term gain with Lufthansa (other than a slight credit bump upwards), since they really don't have many flights that would or could connect with Jetblue at any of their current bases. LH has 3 (count them) flights a day to JFK, and with slot restrictions and a 2 year freeze by the FAA of any slot transfers, there just won't be a lot of connecting. And, how many people on those 3 flights just want to go to NYC? I think this was a financial transaction because Jetblue (and all US Airlines) has a cheap stock and the dollar is low against almost every other currency. They have already lost half of their investment. How many flights does LH have to BOS? Two. And, they cannot park at the JB terminal inbound from Germany because all INTL flights have to go to the INTL terminal there. Very little connecting opportunities there. Looks like an investment that may go south for the Krauts.

Let me update you from the 10Q on 9/30/07:I found this in Yahoo finance showing the assets for the DEC 31st, 06 statement, and that was the most current I could find. There are liabilities also in the charts, which is significant too, but you asked about cash on hand, and I threw in the current assets too. Those numbers are in Millions.
Assets
Current Assets
Cash And Cash Equivalents 2,784,000
Short Term Investments 614,000 -
Net Receivables 1,317,000
Inventory 181,000
Other Current Assets 489,000
Total Current Assets 5,385,000

Really?
It's my understanding a formula has been reached but not published to limit flts during peak periods to 82/83 per hour. If you have been made aware of this formula, then please let us know what the cutoff date was, as DL had a multitude of new flts in the last 12 months. It's my understanding they wanted to go back a year or more on the cutoff date, thus penalizing DL, and giving credence to the large investments by AA and B6.
Also, I'm not aware of a lockdown provision on a voluntary trading of slots. The purpose of the ruling was to limit a/c movements during these peak hours (early morning & international between 3-10pm). Back in the day, JFK always had an attrition of international flts and carriers in any one 12 month period. If my understanding is correct, previous slots could not be sold but had to go back to the Port Authority for lottery selection. I can't see a lockdown, as this would inhibit international growth during that 2 year period (something, that totally goes against the open skys deal).
I would be surprised if Jetblue were not able to give LH some valuable slots in those time periods if they struck a deal for codeshare. Since only 5% of the seats sold on LH at JFK are not O&D, they could easily add 2 or 3 more flts per day with B6 feed. Also, if LH gets lucky and gets control of BMI in 2008, this will give LH control of 50 Heathrow slots (this should develop into a nice bidding war with BA...as slots were reportedly purchased by BA from Alitalia went for between $10-15M each).
You say all inbound int'l flts have to go to the international T-4? Are you telling me that the new AA terminal doesn't have customs? How about the T-7 that BA/UAL share? If Jetblue works a deal with LH to use their terminal, I don't see any reason why they can't develop a customs station.

If there were a merger, how would the legislation Pres Bush passed affect it? Doesn't it basically say DOH? I would like to know the real scoop?
Say UAL were to merge with NWA, would it be DOh, kinda like a national line of seniority?
No, the legislation states that if there are no other guidelines (like the ALPA merger policy between ALPA carriers), then Mohawk/Alleghany would come into effect. Essentially, the legislation wants to make sure that nobody is just stapled and then furloughed, like the TWA people were. One of the people sponsoring this bill still represents some TWA folks in St. Louis.
