In the wonderful world run by the Direct Relationship, the company can do whatever they wish. They can even violate their own written agreements. They can create a B scale. They can give us the worst health care in the industry. They can give us laughable retirement benefits. They can give "special" pilots a better QOL than the rest of the flock. The only recourse a pilot has is to hire his/her own attorney and fight back. Of course one would be spending their own time and money while doing so.
If only there was a system of checks and balances in place where the employees could hold the company accountable for their actions. Hmmmm......perhaps there is a reason why more than 95% of airline pilots in this country are unionized.
Pilots of JetBlue, WAKE UP! Our last opportunity for representation is on the horizon. The DR is dead.
