He has not been voted in. The last election was just a runoff to narrow down the field. The final vote is going right now so vote for Clap. We have to keep this guy Yates (who incidently got 8th place his junior year at Delta State in Power off Landings in a flight team competition according to his website:puke:) off the PVC

Oh good. Ill check my email for the next vote. Thanks.

Just voted.

Nobody gives a crap about a guys GPA except him. Just sayin'

My buddy was just turned down.

Mid 30s 9k flight time. Lots of PIC. Clean record. Internal recs

Lots of PIC = Flight Risk (meaning he will have more opportunities later and will leave. This will incur more training costs down the road. Hiring low time guys is strategically more sound for our company, based on future training costs. It is very much on the radar of the HR department.)

I completely agree, low time PICs guys will stick around. Its too bad, does JB realize they are nothing but a stepping stone then ?

So what about when they hire high time PIC pilots. Wonder what that means.

Means they already got turned down by FedEx/DAL/SWA/etc

you're ASSuming that they were in fact interviewed by said airlines... most high time, experienced pilots I know who don't work for one of the "majors" simply just don't know the right people to get to the interview.

After speaking with a friend who conducts interviews the average pilot making it to phase 2 in grossly under qualified. Does that mean they are bad people, no. All this points to is Jetblue is choosing to hire pilots with very low time, comparatively, expecting them to complain less and stay longer. In fact, some pilots have been interviewed that did not meet the minimum qualifications. As the hiring process has changed no one knows exactly what is going on but the current system speaks volumes of new hires to come. I can also tell you there is no favoritism in the process as well. My friend in hiring also told me a senior check airman recently had a friend turned down. I'd like to speak to the guy myself but he won't tell me who it was.
