Commuting out of MCO I was told by the gate agent that OAL pilots are no longer allowed to occupy the cockpit jumpseat. We're only allowed in the cabin or the flight attend jumpseat. I got a seat in the cabin but forgot to ask the crew if it is true. So is it?

She told you wrong. I won't be the one to spill the beans but some things are going on in regards to JB jumpseats & FAA. The agent does not know the facts or is getting them confused. If you are in CASS you will be allowed to jumpseat up front if all cabin and F/A js are full. If you think you are getting a bad deal ask to speak to the captain.
