There's a big difference between being courteous and having a FA hand you rubber gloves.

Between 1999 and 2001 I JSed at least 100 times on majors and was never given any duties.

My own personal rule was to avoid making any FA clean up after me or do any work on my behalf.

If an FA handed me gloves, I would have helped but hearing about FAs doing this as a matter of practice to non-company personnel annoys me greatly. (Company JSers get no mercy! Get to work!)

IMHO it's rude of FAs to expect non-company GUESTS to perform duties and I applaud the JB person who said they would say something if he/she could.
