Has anyone here (or someone you know) gotten an interview with jetBlue with zero pic turbine time? I meet their published mins, but I was curious if anyone has ever gotten the call with no pic turbine time.

A good friend of mine interviewed last fall with zero PIC turbine. However, he had considerable experience in the right seat of the DC-8 and 757/767. He had well over 5,000 hours of right seat heavy jet time.

Cheers!

It helps if you have janitorial experience. I heard interviews are a little easier to get if you have 4-5 yrs janitorial experience but don't have any turbine PIC.

No, it is not.

I know several JetBlue pilots that have zero turbine PIC. However the other qualifications and experience were impressive -- including type ratings, examiner time and plenty of heavy jet time.

Does your wife fly?

Or, does your mother work at FedEx? When I cross seatbelts, and straighten up the cabin, its because I want to. It's the right thing to do. In a way, it's also one of the best parts of the job; we have some of the prettiest girls I've ever seen straightening up back there. I never miss a chance to talk to a pretty girl. Its the right thing to do.

CaptainMark,

Pretty much every post I have read of yours sends quite a message of arrogance and self importance. Does it take an extra procedure to get that big head of yours in the left seat of the A300 sir, or do they load it separately on a pallet? For the most part, I wish no ill will on anyone, but every once in a while an idiot or two pops up that you just wouldn't mind seeing him knocked off his pedestal. Anyway, with the amount of good friends I have over at your airline I hope things go well for you; but I do hope while they enjoy a long and prosperous career they never have the misfortune of sharing a flight deck with you and have to listen to you brag about yourself. For their sake, good luck Captain.

This message board never ceases to amaze me.. I flew 91 and 135 before going 121.. While flying corporate I would vacum planes, empty garbage, wipe down cabinets, EMPTY SHITTERS!!, Wipe down nacelles etc etc etc..

Now I fly for the airline that everyone loves to hate ( When it is actually their management that they should blame) To be perfectly honest it is called pride. If i have to go into the back of an airbus and cross seatbelts than so be it..

When i get home I do the same thing for my wife and kids so that they have it a little easier..

It is amazing how many self serving people are out there..

Some pilots out there must put their uniforms on and masterbate in the mirror while telling themselves how great they are..

We don't have to clean the plane, but most of us choose to..... Have you ever been in a JetBlue Plane? They are pretty nice aren't they. We all try to keep them that way so our customers want to come back and see us. Nothing wrong with being proud of your product and helping to maintain it.. Do you guys think it's demeaning to help clean at home too?? What's the big deal?

This may be a huge shocker too, but most of us will go down onto the ramp after each leg and get the carry-on bags.......GASP!! We even say hello to the rampers........Even the guy who dumps the lav!!

And what's wrong with that!

Look, what happens between me and my mirror... And a donkey and a midget... Is my business.

Good day, sir.
