Does anyone else seem to think that good old 'beagleblow' boy here is sure tryng to catch up with the General in post numbers? Seems like a lot of repititious post to say the same thing...'blah blah blah...you suck....I'm better....your company sucks....mine's great....you don't make $hit...I make more.....

sooooo...wasn't there an open house yesterday? What did they say? Did hiring stop or not?

Learflyer, if you can't contribute anything about who'se airline sucks more, how you are better than someone else or who will go out of business before your company, than please start another thread.

i clicked on this thread to find out if jb had stopped hiring or not. after all that is what the title of the thread is.

did i find out the answer to this question.......

of course not.

just five pages of useless bickering from all who posted.

so lets make this thread worthwile at the end and someone in the "know" post fact or fiction to the ultimate point of the whole thread. which is:

HAS JETBLUE STOPPED HIRING?

JetBlue has not stopped hiring. We aren't going to hire as many as planned, but we are still interviewing and there are guys in class and new classes are starting in May.

Hope that helps.

Hey Hey now....dont give the answer quite yet...we have to drag this thread out a little more before the real answer is revealed.

Why ?

It's accaptable to belittle all regional pilots as "bottom feeders", but pathetic when they provide information to refute their bottom feeder status ?

It took 20 years, but I've made over $120K for the last 4 years. How long is not the point.

The point is we are all at where we're at NOW. Eagle isn't going to fold (it may change, yes.....and maybe not for the better), but Jet Blue might fold unless something changes.

What WON'T change is that oil will remain at or above 100 bucks a barrel for the foreseeable future and Jet Blue's costs are only going to go UP, as their pilots become more senior, their other employees get raises (maybe) and maintenance becomes more frequent and more in-depth.

Without an eventual cash infusion, JB has got some REAL problems ahead and it might be tough to find someone willing to throw good money after bad after 6 more months of this.

I n the last 20 years, it's been the Gulf War, 9/11 and now Recession/Oil, but me the little ol' disgruntled and bitter RJ lowlife "bottom feeder" keeps on truckin.

Ever read the story of the "Tortoise and the Hare" ?

I like being the Tortoise. The Tortoise can usually look back at his path when he gets to the finish line and see a much more relaxed and less stressful ride. In fact, the most interesting part is watching the hare tie himself in knots on his spastic journey. The Hare is exhausted from all the start/stops, jerking around and tumbles into the bushes and ironically frequently has less to show for his winnings even if he does make the finish line first.

No........I think I'll stay the Tortoises course.

I think that it's great that a guy who has probably been turned down by every major or not even given an interview has turned lemons into lemonade. Good for you!

Not really.....Putting little pricks like you in their place is sometimes needed to get you off your high horse regional boy!

Whatever makes you feeel better junior regional boy!

:crying:
Oh no, regional boy insulted me......

I'm sure you know a lot about left hands.
Don't worry about our merger young sparky....We'll be just fine, the thing you should worry about is what is going to happen after AMR corp flushes you like the turd you are when they declare BK!

AMF!

You didn't put anyone anywhere except in your own mind.

You'd love to see me "flushed"............dream on, gearkid.

I must have struck a nerve.

Feel better now ?

NO, TSA is flying some of Eagle's EMB routes (but not all). Won't affect me anyway as I have 90% of our seniority list under me.

You've been spewing your bulls&%t here for a long time and it's just as worthless now as ever.

Sorry.

The merger will DEFINATELY result in aircraft and job trimming to be successful. I'd keep that left hand in good condition becasue your going to be using it for many more years. Gear handles can really cause a lot of skin problems.

If you are going to capitalize a word, for gods sake, spell it correctly.....GEEZ

Why would this not be a good job in the eyes of most wage earners in the US?

It is.

But what you see is the disease of the modern pilot profession. Pilots judge their value or worth by the size of their plane. I know many people making $80-100,000 perfectly happy and doing very well.

If you do that flying a Citation, not so bad. If you fly an RJ, suddenly you're a loser.

100-seat RJ's will be a backbone of the domestic market of the future and regional lifestyles like the above will be the common form. If JB has to sell their Airbuses to stay afloat, then looks like they'll be the newest regional.......with a scale LOWER then the losers of Eagle enjoy.

If the major boyz don't like it they should direct their complaints to Herndon, who let it happen.

I thought American was trying to sell American Eagle. Have they given up on that?

Spinoff seems to be the most likely bet.

We will lose some of our flying, but will remain on long-term contract to feed AA, so the top half is relatively safe for now.

eaglefly,

If you're going to rank on someone using the term "dude", then please use punctuation correctly. Those wacky apostrophies indeed exist in the highlighted words.

The gloating you're doing regarding whether or not Jetblue has stopped hiring along with mentioning how much money you're making or how many of your fellow pilots are below you on the Eagle seniority list just makes you look self-centered and insecure.

It's okay to accept the fact that Eagle may be your "destination." Your thinly veiled attempt to skewer Jetblue and defend your position at Eagle does not hide your contempt. Be man enough to admit it.

SCR

You're right.

I'm a terrible person and I fly an RJ.......which are apparently one and the same.

Sorry Longhorn:
eaglefly was acting like a jerk, and some of us needed to put him in his place.
Again, sorry!

737

But, you didn't put me in my place, because your incapable.

For the record, you're rep here as a jerk is legendary. One can sift thru the Delta threads and see your smally crapola all over the place.

You and your pal, the corporal.
