JetBlue is attending the Vegas job fair in April..I’m wondering if it’s worth going. My app has been in since Dec with one rec letter from a JB pilot. Thoughts??

just to put it into perspective:

My buddy just got interviewed and hired. Jan interview, Feb class, he applied in 2008. 4 internal recs. and over 5000 Tpic. The pool is full of well qualified guys.

Keep yer panties on.

And yes, go to the job fair if you want to work here, face time is key. I'd go to an open house in Orlando too when they do another one.

I went to the Job Fair in November and submitted my application for the first time on Dec 1st. I am interviewing on Jan 26th. I say the job fair is important.

I have had my app in since 2008 as well...

If I can get the time off, I'm going. Went to the open house in May, 4 internal recs, applied in 2008 and last May, and I'm still waiting on a call. I gotta do something to try to break the dead lock.

An opportunity to talk face to face with someone involved with the recruiting process can be a plus in helping you break out from the pack. I went to one of the big job fairs Air Inc. used to run back in '05 and had a positive discussion with one of the pilots on JetBlue's interview team. I am pretty sure that had something to do with the interview call I got a few weeks later.

I interviewed for an Instructor position back in October of 2010. I got "TMAAT when you stopped something small from becoming something large." "TMAAT when a co-worker bad mouthed the company and what did you do about it?" Those are the only two I can think of.
