Kingston -. Five people were slightly injured during the emergency landing of a JetBlue plane in the capital of Jamaica, after it took off and after a fire occurred in one of the engines of the apparatus that was headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The Jamaican spokesman Norman Manley Airport, Alfred McDonald reported that the landing took place in the morning 15 minutes after takeoff when the pilot requested permission to make an emergency landing at the control tower.
The official said that as a result of the forced landing was a person with a broken and four with minor bruises on various parts of his body.
The incident forced the temporary closure of the airport, while the apparatus, which was carrying 98 passengers and four crew, remains under the supervision of the mechanics.
The authorities have not yet issued an official report on the cause of the fire.
