My buddy wants to get on very badly at JetBlue as a dispatcher. He has been in 121 dispatch for seven years and he still can't seem to get a call from them. What can he do to improve his chances? He doesn't really know anyone at the company.

Speaking of JB, can someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pm me the Dispatch phone number? Some of the crews that fly for the airline I work for have been getting a whole lot of hassle from gate agents while trying to jumpseat. We are in CASS, but JB won't let our guys up front. It's kind of important because we are based at JFK, and crews live all over the country.

Thanks.

A couple of my ex-workers work there and they have gotten a call from simply applying online on Jetblue.com. No internal rec, no walk-ins and nothing. This is about a year ago when they were hiring agressively. They also have hired people with no experience or sombody from part 131. A lot of hiring has to do with timing...and I haven't seen a huge Jetblue growth lately so things are a little bit on the slow side.

I applied online with out knowing anybody here at JB; got an interview after about 3 months. They called me with an offer 2 weeks after the interview. It's all about timing, we are taking applications for 3 dispatch positions to start some time in May, tell your buddy to apply again!!! PM me if you have any other questions.

Hello,

Wondering how the hiring process was (long interview, any testing involved etc)? Also, without having to divulge what you make, would you be able to give me an idea as to how much JetBlue dispatchers make starting out? I am only asking because I just applied last week, and got a call from them today. Thanks in advance!
