OK so how long to hold LGB then? 1yr?

The junior pilot in LGB is about 380 numbers senior to the junior pilot in the company.

LGB a year? Maybe. Depends on if anyone decides to leave LGB either in a transfer/upgrade or resignation.

I would say at least a year.

I got to LGB 6 months after hire and I have been on reserve for the past 12 months.
Reserve sucks here, it seems as if the schedulers forget about the other coast and I routinely get the "Oh,my God, How fast can you get to the airport??????".
We do have a super Chief pilot though, so that makes life a bit easier.

So did you commute for the first 6 months? If so how was that? Do you still get paid if youre on reserve?

Are there alot of options for crash pads out in JFK? How many days off did you get at home when you first started?
