Jetblue to Add another City today. Hint...Probably the highest airport fees around! O Well a great layover though:)

EVV? As in Evansville Dress Regional? Are their fees really high? Just curious.....Evansville is my hometown.

Wonder how long it will take for Song to announce that they too are flying to PDX?

Obviously not as quick as their NAS announcement (it came in the afternoon on the same day which JB announced the new service in the morning)....but maybe tomorrow!

Cheers!

Yeah, not too exciting when AMR and CAL are announcing China and United is adding Taiwan.

Yeah, I am so excited about AMR and CAL that, since hearing the news, I have just plain forgotten to eat or clean myself. Seriously, I have pretty much had constant wood.

JetBlue adds JFK-BUR starting 05/24
I saw that. 3 flts a day starting next month, with another being added later. How the heck can a 320 go transcon out of that airport? They have to be capping the seating at 140 or so, and no US mail.

Maybe they are just going to do BUR-LGB then gas-n-go to JFK. Soon they will be doing short hops all the way across the country to pick up the $49 tickets just like SWA. Let's see $49 to JFK from BUR....with a stop in LGB, DEN, BUF then JFK. More trailer trash customers. Sounds like a plan!

Affordable 'Freedom'

Hey NTS ALL 4, most of those 'trailer trash customers' you refer to are good old AMERICANs. Providing opportunity for all Americans to fly is what productivity and efficiency is all about. I’ve spent go good part of my life along with countless other US Military personnel defending our way of life. "Freedom" to travel across this great land is now more affordable and I'm proud to provide ALL AMERICANS that opportunity.

Wow, that is amazing that Jetblue is adding 3 daily to BUR from JFK. I think that is good. I don't know what the load restrictions will be, since I don't fly the bus, but I think that was a good move. We just added a 757 nonstop from BUR to ATL on mainline too.

I haven't flown out of there in a while, but if I remember, you take off (winds permitting) off of 15 which has 6800' of pavement and a reasonable climb gradient (I think around 350'/nm). Landing on 8 is not a problem either with those big brakes (and especially since a lot of our guys are Navy ;^)

I don't feel like opening up my laptop and running OPS, but I'd guess with that climb gradient, the loads wouldn't have to be that restricted.

Of course I'm biased, but I think this will be a really popular route.

Just read the write-up on that. Steep approach with too much speed into a 5800' runway? Couple that with a full load of pax, and probably more fuel than they needed coming from LAS. Tough landing for any experienced pilot.
