Jetblue 6.1 mil loss for what?

Hey B6 guys.....what was the problem with the maintenance computer that cost over 6 mil and was thrown out? How long was it in development and what what was it supposed to do? Why did it not work and why did it take 6.1 mil to figure it out? Did the guys responsible for throwing away this cash get axed?
