So the Healy from the California 'Skyways' is the guy in charge
of USA Jet? (Just want to know what I'm talking about). T.I.A.

During the pilot meeting yesterday, Ray said that stuff about Healy was not true. Yea right. Hey Ray, I think your running low on Vodka, better run out and get some buddy because you have to much blood in your alcohol.

Anybody wan't to guess when the doors will be closed? or all non passenger things will end? Please donate now we need to support our 12 Vice Presidents, because they have been unable to secure their Golden Parachutes. But with your weekly pledges of a $1000 or more we can keep these people in the lifestyle they are accustomed too. The mechanics, fuelers, loaders and pilots do not qualify for this program and are taken care of under the high paying unemployment option. So please if you can give to the "SAVE THE USA JET VP'S" their families and vacation properties appreciate it. God Bless and Happy Holiday Seasons to everyone.

Seems like the heavier aircraft would be prime for the increase in Mexico runs that has occurred as US plants shut down for the sake of southern outsourcing. My Mexico Requests have went through the roof.

As for freight demand running low... There was a time when Berry, Packwest and Corporate stayed in their respective regions. These guys appear to be going more national work (to make ends meet???) Hearing more and more berry and packwest callsigns over the radios here east of the Mississippi than I used to. It is telling, however, I would bank on the heavier aircraft being busier with the longer and heavier legs from the south. not scaling back.

Active Aero did run me hard for a month to get my insurance certificate in so that I could continue to do work for them. I haven't bid on any work in over a year, but would expect they may be resigning into more of a broker role than they used to be.

I was on the West Coast when Healy went down out there. Not a real popular guy. I don't know where he would go from MI, or what Governing Board in there right mind would hire him. That Parachute better be pretty darn golden.

Any case, hopefully you can jettison the dead weight before it is too, late. Good luck guys.

Im sorry to hear about the layoffs. My guess is you guys are the first of many to go in this industry. It's amazing how all the companies are doing nothing to protect them for the future except for IFL. I dont know much about IFL but if they can buy all these -731's and have advanced avionics in their convairs and still survive. Then their Mgmt must be really strong.

Strong, and smart, during those Go -Go days of the mid to late 90's they poured all their profits back into the company, they own their fleet, have an incredibly sweet lease deal for their 727s, and will watch their competition vanish ,like they did during the last big shake out in the early 90's.

IFL's feeling the stap too, we just acquired a passenger DA-20 that's in paint right now that will hopefully make up for the slow cargo industry. Otherwise mgmt is trying to find contracts in the caribbean for a convair...hopefully something good happens, I really don't want to have to bail to a regional.
