I keep hearing rumors that some 1900 drivers had gotten on, but not sure of their background. Application still requires 20K+lbs.

Any chance for a strickly Beech 1900 turbo prop driver at JetBlue? No real contacts...

Thanks

I have loads of 1900 PIC time, with 800 hrs jet pic, and I was told to come back and see em in 200 hours at the last open house :(

Mr Wu, is that a sticker or t-shirt on your avatar? I would love to get one!!!

Back to the thread.

I had truckloads of SIC and PIC time in the 1900 but went to a regional for 2+ years for the 20K+ time. The CRJ time helped alot with the glass and Jet time. I had no Jet PIC though.

There was a guy in class with 0 20K+ time tho but it was in a light jet.

IV. Minimum Qualifications:

• 1500 hours total time in airplanes (excluded: Helicopter, Simulator, Flight Engineer time)
• 1000 hours turbine in airplanes
• 1000 hours Pilot in Command Time*
• 1000 hours in airplanes at or above 20,000 pounds (maximum takeoff weight) or 1000 hours in large jet-powered airplanes at or above 12,500 pounds (maximum takeoff weight)

I hope we hire more turboprop guys, from what I've seen they're real sharp, flying high reps, up and down all day long. I like "commuter" guys and freight dogs because we've been in the trenchs.
