Hi all,

I was just trying to work out whether I meet the minimums at JB or not. Their job discription page says "1000 PIC" in addition to a load of other requirements which I meet.

Do any of the JB guys know if this is 1000 PIC airplane? It is not specific for that. All the other categories it mentions, airplane time is specifically mentioned.

I'm an old helicopter hand, but I've been flying PT 121 for a long time now, but never had the opportunity to upgrade. I'm very very close if I exclude my rotor PIC (within 40 hours), but I am way over if I do.

Thanks for any information,
Nu

JetBlue Mins

Hey Nuguy,

Based upon a form you will receive upon interview notification confirming your minimums, the 1000 hours PIC time is "excluding helicopter, simulator, and flight engineer time".

Hey NuGuy,
just so you'll know, there are several Rotorheads (Me included) who slipped through the hiring process at Jetblue.

Hi all,

Thanks for the info. Looks like I gotta find a way to get 35 hours of PIC time.

10000 hours total. 7000 hours part 121, 3000 jet over 100k, A-320 time, and some bad timing results in the need for 35 hours what could basically be C-152 time in the pattern. Hehe, guess I'll find someplace cheap and fly it off to be %100. Maybe someplace will give me a block rate <G>.

Thanks for all the help,

Me too! Now, if JetBlue started a helicopter shuttle, I'd truly be in heaven...

Cheers!
