Does anyone have information on 1st and 2nd year pay at Jet Blue?
As well as how long training is and if it is paid?
Are you put up in a hotel for the length of training?

How long do you sit reserve?
What is the monthly guarantee?
Min. days off?

I am currently working for a regional airline and thinking about making the jump...any information would help. Thanks!

Your profile indicates you're a pilot. Are you switching positions?

If he/she gets hired as a Jet Blue F/A, then applies for a pilot position while currently working for the company, that might be a a worthwhile move.

I know several former AA flight attendants who are now AA pilots. One was a Beech 99 charter pilot who didn't get hired as a pilot, applied as a flight attendant, then was hired as a 727 F/E less than a year later.

Alrighty then. I don't have any F/A info, but here is some pilot info:

1. For pay info, check out http://www.airlinepilotcentral.com.
2. Training is about 7-8 weeks in Orlando, then a few days at JFK. You get paid $2500/month while in training.
3. JB will put you up in a hotel in Orlando. They pick up the tab.
4. Reserve time for FO right now is about 6 months for the A320 and about 2 months for the E190.
5. See website in #1 for min guarranteed hours
6. I think you get 12 days off minimum each month.

They also provide you with uniforms, overcoat, luggage, and a computer.
Hope this helps.

Actually, yes I am and no I'm not.

I forgot to sign out, though, my roomate, who is a F/A was probably the one asking, I know she is looking around. Though I wouldn't mind going there myself.

1.-) I do not know 2nd year pay, but I believe 1st yr pay is 27K.
2.-) Trng last forever (6 wks) & is paid on a trng basis scale, and
3.-) yes they put you up for those days at one of the the MCO hotels near the JBU trn ctr.
Good luck

4.-) Reserve time depends on where you choose your base (KJFK/KFLL or KLGB) Obviuosly KJFK has the least reserve time before hold'n base, but KFLL and KLGB and not that bad. It all depends on how much fly'n are you willing to do.
Good luck

KJFK/KFLL or KLGB

Are those the only three f/a bases? What about CLT? Can one live in CLT after reserve time is over and work / fly out of KJFK?

Thanks,
LAFF

You will have to get in line for the jumpseat with the 100 or so pilots who commute out of CLT. Have heard that bookings are strong for CLT so expect full flights.

I think BOS will open as a flight attendant base in June.
