I've heard conflicting stories about the Jet Blue pilot domiciles. Is Long Beach open? If it is, how senior is it? What are typical trips for Jet Blue? How long, how much flying, etc.
Any info is appreciated.

All trips originate from JFK. Long Beach is not open yet. We are hopeful that it will open in about a year, but the company has no firm plans yet. Take a look at the web site to get an idea of the trips. Legs vary from short hops (JFK to upstate NY) to transcons (JFK to LA, Oakland, and Seattle). Days average 5.9 hours for pay with 85 hours per month. 70 hours is the guarantee for pay. We do lots of flying between JFK and Florida. Most guys commute and given how much we fly from Florida, that is a popular place for jetBlue pilots to live. Hope that answers most of your questions.
