Anybody know what the H stands for in Jesus H. Christ?

Is it a Jewish name, like Howard or Harry? I know Jesus was a Jew and since so many people on this board are into religion, I thought I'd ask.

I had always heard it was "Hallmark", because God decided to send only the very best.

you know, as in ".....Hallowed be thy name" I think it was an old family name.
