One nut job compares to an well organised, well funded campaign of murder supported by a large number of the followers of a religion? Nice try FN.

The crusades? or maybe the Nazi's?

PRECISELY

more recently....remember Oklahoma City. How quickly some forget. How about Northern Ireland.

It is incredibly unfortunate how some opt to make gross generalizations. It is true that the terrorist acts as of late have come from individuals who borrow from and claim to represent a religion and this is humanly unforgiveable. The facts remain, however, as they have from the begining of organized religion that the vast majority of people are good loving human beings. Unfortunately fear and obtuseness drives people with more tunnalized vision to pick sides and continue the cycle of hate, killing and war, and quite frankly all the major religious organizations share in this blame as they strugled for power throughout time. It would be a grand thing if we could all interanlize our faith, shed our fears, truly get to know each other and live together. If people think that these terrorist acts and attempted acts are a reflection of all Muslims...well you all have completely given in to the goals of these people who represent a fraction of a fraction of the world population and desire nothing more than for us all to pick sides and kill each other.

I honostly don't which prophet a person follows, but I truly hope that in the end the rational humans, that live their lives searching through historical fact rather than ancient text are able to shed good will around the world.....and perhaps extremism in all its form will fade away.

If you're implying that the OKC bombing had some kind of direct or indirect roots in religious (namely, Christian) beliefs, then you couldn't be further from the truth.

It's really tiring when uninformed people make grossly uneducated generalizations about all religions being equally violent or equally passive. When the best examples one can come up with to attempt to bring Christianity down to Islam's level are the Crusades (a defensive measure to stem the attacks of Muslims upon Europe) and the Oklahoma City bombing (perpetrated by a self-avowed agnostic with no religious motivation), then one hopefully realizes that one is grasping at straws.
