Hey all,

Need help on a Jepp question. In the remarks section there is a note that says "DME/ DME RNP -0.3 not authorized". What does the RNP stand for? I've looked at the Jepp legend and other suspect places and can't find anything. Nothing obvious on the chart as to what it is referring either. Thanks.

Required Navigation Performance. It beleive the DME / DME RNP...... referes to avionics systems that use multiple ground stations to determine aircraft position. Sort of like using DME stations instead of satellites. The "not authorized" means that this type of navigation is not approved for this procedure. The reason is that some stations may not be available throughout the entire approach.

That's my best shot at it - but i know it's something close to that....

Just after I posted, I found the RNP meaning. Thanks for the answering the application of the note on the Jepp.

Thanks for the responses.
