Got an interview coming up and need some info on the differences between noaa and Jepp plates and sites??

Do you know anyone with Jepps that you could borrow or look at?

Back when I was instructing I went out and bought one of the prepackaged Jepp Express packs so I could read through them and get comfortable with the symbols and set up of the plates. It's been a while so I don't know of any websites to direct you to.

Buy the Jepp pack for your area. READ the legend in the front...a lot of stuff, but you will need to know it (except the international stuff).

DO NOT do this half-@ssed, the airlines absolutely require you to know Jepps and will give you ZERO slack for being a NOSC user.

The intro located in the front of the Jepp charts only tells you what each symbol means. If you really want to wow the interviewer you can purchase the Instrument Procedures Guide from the Jeppesen web site. It explaines in depth how to use the information contained in Jepp charts for instrument flying.

biggest difference. Jeppesen has holes on the side of the page, NOS has holes on the top of the page. Couldn't resist...sorry. Seriously, its the same information in both just presented in slightly different formats. NOS puts an airport diagram on the same page as the appch, Jepp doesn't. lots of little differneces to tell you the same thing.
