Anyone know where to get a Jeppesen chart key online or where to look up symbols? My company uses NOS. Just trying to study up.

You can find some expired Jepps stuff out there for study purposes. I know Mypilotstore.com has some, and there may be other places out there that have them too. Mypilotstore has them for around $15 and you get some charts and IAPs along with the manual with all of the info you need. I bought them a couple of months ago. They are great for studying and are even better if you use them while reading through the stuff that IFlyCG mentioned. I printed out those articles and put them in a binder to study with the Jepps Airways Manual and it has helped me get used to Jepps. I have been using NOS for my entire flying career and have had no experience with Jepps before now.

IFLYGC is right. Go to the Jeps website and find "Chart Clinic"...some of the best info you'll find and right from the source.

Thanks for that info. Those clinics have some good info. I'm still looking for a key. Like what does the star next to the tower freq mean? All that kind of stuff.

I'll get my flightbag from work tommorow and scan the legend for ya if you like. Can't promise anything, haven't used the scanner in years.

Oh, btw.....almost anytime you see a star symbol on anything in aviation it's usually a safe bet it means "part time".

Guys,

All that stuff is in the Chart Clinic articles...honest. A bit of reading, but worth it.
