Your profile says CRJ and DC9, so is there any doubt that you were a regional pilot (CRJ) who got hired at NWA within the last 12-24 months?

How many mergers have been good for employees in the past history? Not many! No matter what piece of paper you got, management will find a way to screw you guys over in a heartbeat.

And btw, I saw a NWA pilot with a sticker on his flight case that said, "Hired, Not Acquired." This was a while back.

I can only imagine what will happen with the SLI and if that goes bad............

Most nwa guys I've jumpseated with are more than happy about the merger..esp the FO's. One of the captains had a widget pin put on over his NWA logo on his tie.

The SLI will go fine. Some DL guys will be in front of some NWA guys on the bottom side of the list...some NWA guys will be in front of some DL guys on the top of the list. Life goes on. This merger is as good as combo as it gets.

I feel proud to have the NWA guys joining our ranks... it is what I grew up around. I truly look forward to sitting to the right of the first NWA captain I fly with in the 75/76 category.

Well said! Most guys I talk to feel the same way.

Congrats indeed. As far as the SLI goes, it is out of our hands now, and a panel of 3 arbitrators will complete it, not just one with a God's complex. Hopefully all will have input. And, Peanukle is right, some NWA guys and DL guys will be at the top, some at the bottom. The only guy really happy will be the number one guy, everyone else will be ticked somehow. That's the way it goes.....

Bye Bye--General Lee

I rather would have seen the companies continue to operate separately. This merger is happening and there is nothing we can do to stop it. I will be on board though because I do not want to work in a US Airways' type environment for the rest of my career.

Ok, I guess your mileage differs. The five NWA guys I talked to were not fine with it. Maybe they belong to the portion that voted 'No.'
