Is it difficult to jumpseat on Air Canada from YYZ to BOS. ALPA calendar says call and make a non-rev reservation, but what about taxes/fees, etc.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Air Canada has not charged me for jumpseating from YUL to LAX-- no taxes, no fees.
Only the Captain has the jumpseat forms, the gate agents do not. It is actualy kind of like a write-your-own-ticket, where they fill in the blanks with your name, city pair routing, some codes that they all struggle to find, etc. The gate agent keeps a carbon copy, the captain keeps a carbon copy, and you'll get a free seat in the back. I sat in Coach-- not sure if First was full or just not offered. The A-320 had free on-demand movies and other stuff I had forgotten about on US carriers.
