J-5 generator toast, alternator question

Generator is toast, installing an alternator, any Cub drivers done this? Link is a pic of current wiring, I bought the plane like this and didn't do the wiring and I don't plan on changing any of it, just wondering if it is wired correctly? Not sure about that amp meter wiring, and have a couple of questions about it. Wasn't small enough to get under the dash and fluke anymore, Thanks
