Just picked one up, sweet watch. Got one with the tan Croc band. What are you all wearing? Watches are my weakness.

"Operator, there's a naked airline pilot in my front yard!"

"Ma'am, I'll send the police right away. But, if he's naked how do you know he's an airline pilot?"

drum roll...............................(anyone?)

Funny thing is........

can you afford one?

Just something I picked up. I'm not a career pilot, the watch looked good, and the company is known for great timepieces. It's only 39mm so not a massive brick Breitling either. I guess it's lost on those with no class. You probably thought it was a Swatch or a Fossil. Keep shopping at Pacific Sunwear dudes.

It was just a "pilot watch" joke, man. not aimed at you. I've never even seen the watch of which you speak. Deep breaths, count to ten.

Also paid 15k for a new Presidents 18k Rolex a few years ago. I have a line on a used 10/10 stainless Daytona (won't name the price but it's a steal if it comes to fruition).

I have a $30 Timex Expedition. I've had it for years. It's on its 3rd band and 2nd battery. Keeps perfect time. When (if) it ever dies I'll get another one just like it.

Red/black SS GMT Master II. Been looking at Ball watches lately, too..those tritium micro-gas lights on the dial are COOL!

SS Daytonas are overrated, in my opinion. Only expensive because Rolex controls the production, and thus the cost. They could make many more of them if they wanted and they wouldn't be nearly as "rare."

By the way, if you have a chance to go to the Rolex store at the new Wynn Macau casino (in Macau, of course), you can buy any number of new SS Daytonas for about $2000 less than you could find in the U.S.

I have a $30 Timex Expedition, too, that I use for working out. And I've replaced the band, too. Why do they put such crap bands on those things?

I picked up the Daytona - real cheap. I could sell it tomorrow and pocket around $3k. I'll wear it for awhile and do turn it, most likely. I come across deals like this one quite frequently, so if anyone is ever interested let me know and I'll ask my contact. Watches are like heroin, very addictive (at least for me).
