Got an old college buddy who still lives in Nashville. I asked him if he had any info on them figuring he might like to get a job at home instead of doing the schedule he does and working out of state. He told me that if the owner were someone he could trust he would have already have that job. He also told me that the owner has had a not so good reputation in the Middle Tennesse area for years. "I don't trust him as far as I can thow him," is what he said.
Run aaaaaaawwwwwwwaaaaaaaaay!
I *cough* knew a guy there once...*cough*.....and he left due to broken promises and the "Training Bond" (not contract). It is a "Promise'ary Note". Not to be confused with a 'Training Contract'.
Oh, and they can sell your promise'ary note at anytime. And, it mentions that you can have it cashed out by that new owner. The language is very sick if you really read it through.
Anway the Owner owes FSI about 250,000 to 300,000 (USD's) and can not do training there anymore. Don't ask.
So, they train at Simu'Flite. You must pay them before you start training.....they have the low down on this Owner.
Anyway, They never hire a F.O. to upgrade them. So, you will never become a Capt. if you start as a F.O. that is as far as you will progress. They hire people that are current (as Capt.'s) and then after they move they pop them with the "Promise'ary Note" thingy. Normally right before you run out of currency. Nice touch.
So a "Promise'ary Note" is not a financial training contract, just a document stating a time frame which there is no legal or financial penalties if broken?
How many pilots get trained on 250-300K? Sounds like this place is a breeding ground for high attrition rates. They best be incorporating that high training cost into there budget....
