Dude what's the deal with Nashville Jet charters on climbto350.com? They post jobs like every week!! pretty soon they are going to start posting like pinnacle airlines "We are experiencing tremendous growth". Anyone work there, or anyone know what's going on there?

Really? No one?? must be a great place! were do I apply?

What I've heard:

Lears, Hawker, couple of G-2s. Owner makes you sign a contract. You belong to the company - forget about time off. Haven't heard anything good about the owner. Planes are all managed, not owned. Used to run the business out of a little hanger at JWN, now has moved over to BNA (probably a smart move on his part).

Got an old college buddy who still lives in Nashville. I asked him if he had any info on them figuring he might like to get a job at home instead of doing the schedule he does and working out of state. He told me that if the owner were someone he could trust he would have already have that job. He also told me that the owner has had a not so good reputation in the Middle Tennesse area for years. "I don't trust him as far as I can thow him," is what he said.

Dammn that sux dude. They just posted again, they are always looking for pilots. I'm guessing they hire someone and within a week the pilot leaves. It is sad. The thing that amamzes me is that these owners just cant see how much they suck!

Run aaaaaaawwwwwwwaaaaaaaaay!

I *cough* knew a guy there once...*cough*.....and he left due to broken promises and the "Training Bond" (not contract). It is a "Promise'ary Note". Not to be confused with a 'Training Contract'.

Oh, and they can sell your promise'ary note at anytime. And, it mentions that you can have it cashed out by that new owner. The language is very sick if you really read it through.

Anway the Owner owes FSI about 250,000 to 300,000 (USD's) and can not do training there anymore. Don't ask.

So, they train at Simu'Flite. You must pay them before you start training.....they have the low down on this Owner.

Anyway, They never hire a F.O. to upgrade them. So, you will never become a Capt. if you start as a F.O. that is as far as you will progress. They hire people that are current (as Capt.'s) and then after they move they pop them with the "Promise'ary Note" thingy. Normally right before you run out of currency. Nice touch.

Most of us run away when we here the Owners' Name (I can PM you his Initials). He has been out of business so many times that it would make your head swim.

Oh, one more thing. He pays his children a salary....and it is larger than 3 Capt.'s PayChecks combined. He has a Couple of Children. Oh, and they are very young...try I think 7 and younger (like 2 or 3 now for the other two).

Just go to www.bad-aviationjobs.com (or something like that) for the whole story.

Just don't be B.S.'ed about the job.....it is just a typical 135 bottom feeder operation.

But, I think *cough* they pay better than most of the other options in the area*cough* if you are a rated Capt. and you are current in something they manage.

Take Care.

EDIT: It seems that this link is no longer up. To bad. I'd check back every so often. It might just be temporarily out of service.

So a "Promise'ary Note" is not a financial training contract, just a document stating a time frame which there is no legal or financial penalties if broken?

How many pilots get trained on 250-300K? Sounds like this place is a breeding ground for high attrition rates. They best be incorporating that high training cost into there budget....

Precarious 135

This outfit was in chapter 11 not too long ago, would be very skeptical about their long term solvency, also their short term solvency. They were a bottom feeder before and sounds like they STILL ARE !!!!!

I have a buddy there that works for them. He really didn't wanna tell me anything about them except for "I wouldn't recommend this job on my worst enemy". That basically told me the BS that is there.

They charge the owners for the training. The Promise'ary Note is a twist on an old theme. YES IT IS A ONE YEAR CONTRACT...THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE WORD CONTRACT. It is leagally binding. And, can be sold during your employement and the new owner of your NOTE can tell you to pay the remainder of the pro'rated 12 months. SICK if you ask me.

Though the owner pays for your training the Operation Named now makes the pilot put his money (pro'rated of course) out if he leaves. Now, that said Operation Named now bills the owner again for training. So, the are making money on their pilots if they leave. So, to be clear "If you want to guarantee to pay back for training what will be billed AGAIN to the owner (by the said Operation) then by all means go ahead. SICK...period.

And, of course who would leave with that type of punishment. And, if you don't sign you don't get to go to school......which is paid for by the owner. They can no longer employ you. It happened to one of there Citation Captains. He would not sign the Promise'ary Note and they let him go.

This is a sick arrangement. No one with any B@lls would sign it. But they seem to have people who will.

The other thing is they will tell you to go get training and they will re'emburse you (pro'rated'ly) throughout the year......yeah right.....No Thanks.

As to the FSI deal.....I asked FSI and it is true. (When you have 2 Gulfstreams it can occur pretty quick. Initials are not cheap.) The Operation Named had a running tab. They skipped on pay'ing FSI. Of course the owners paid the Operation Named the money ..... so the question is where is the money?

I guess we know the answer to that.

Personally it is Operations like this that aviation should be ashamed of.

Take Care out there.
