Very interesting indeed. Only know a couple of guys there. One says it o.k., the other hates it. Doesn't matter anyway. I never fly them as a paying passenger and have no need to send my family on them. I would not hesitate to fly them if the need arises. The B717 is a great aircraft.

Wow. That was so revealing. Amazing. It is hard to fathom the depth and breadth of intelligence that went into that fascinating foray into this conspiracy. Gosh. I will never fly AirTran again.

Although this thread is obviously flaim bait, I'll bite. I flew for them for just under 3 years(3/03-12/05). The training was great and safety was paramount and stressed over and over. I got out on the line and was impressed with the maintenance program and the mantenance personel. If something was not working correctly, the part was replaced right there on the spot. Very few MEL's running around in the system. The planes were dirty on the outside from time to time but never unairworthy. I'd love to know what Continental pays in aircraft cleaning because the planes are always being cleaned. Airtran may not spend millions per quarter on airplane washes but they invest in their maintenance heavily and there is no skimping on safety. And that is comming from someone who has nothing to gain by AirTran's continued success.

Valuejet is long gone and the link the threadstarter offered is obviously biased. Maybe the site's owner had a family member on 592 but to continuously refer to the Valuejet accident over and over I think dilutes the agenda the site owner was trying to sell. I think most on this forum realize this but it is interesting that the site exists in the first place.

So what really is your beef, uppercrustbrokebackboy? Didn't pass the interview, couldn't get an interview, or just a meddling twit with nothing better to do than dig up another twit's website? Please, do tell.

Ty "Snug Fit" Webb doesn't have the balls to respond.

Yeah, right . . . .

No, I have these things called a "life", a "family" and a "job", so responding to your crap is a very low priority.

I guess the "hard-on" you have for AirTran is about the only hard-on in your house, and it's a pretty limp one at that.

So you don't like AirTran . . . . . or we didn't like you . . . . who really cares? It's a big world out there. Logoff and go get a job.

Been here 2 1/2 years and couldn't be happier with the training, safety and maintenance.

You are fascinating. Apparently you believe that negative attention is better than no attention at all.
Why do you revel in sounding like a jealous dumba$$?
Do you think you're clever?
Very sad and puzzling.

Worse than you'd imagine. I've seen his type before. He believes he has management potential. He feels superior to all of us "flyboys". His misguided views will get him fired, repeatedly.

Wow...eye opening article! Not.

This guy must have been kicked off for misbehaving and wants some serious revenge. 99% of his rant is valujet related. Even if all his facts, and the corresponding conclusions he draws from those facts, are all true, it still does not come close to representing today's AirTran IMHO.

I especially liked the part about 'well they only had one crash, but since they only had 70 planes a real major would have to crash all the time to equal that rate.' Okay whatever. Start a new airline today, and you are the safest airline in the sky, because you have NEVER had a crash, accident or incident!

You take any airline's fire, smoke, inflight engine shutdown, evacuation, incident data and highlight every one all at once and no one looks safe to Joe Sixpack who doesn't know any better.

Barely interesting yet out of context reading at best, and downright deffamatory and slanderous at worst. I have nothing to gain by defending AirTran, but I think they're getting a raw deal with this case of questionable 'reporting'.

How dirty do they got to be, to become un-airworthy?

Once again Crusty the clown feels like he has to attack AirTran. Big surprise. You're still stealing oxygen from the rest of us. Go back to your trailer park where maybe you can impress someone (with apologies to good folks in trailer parks).

I find this to be very ironic. AirTran is probably MORE concerned with safety than any other airline. When Bskin and I were in training, the Captain leading the indoc classes stressed that another crash of any kind would kill the airline permanently due to the negative press that would result.

Oh and thanks for the link Crusty. I'll forward it to our management so our legal folks can look at it. A few embellishments here and there could be worth a few mil to our bottom line.

Ok, in an unusual and overly generous mood, I am forced to take a vote.

Keep this thread with it's worthless, flamebaiting "web source" intact? :puke:

Or...

Delete it in the manner of flamebaiters banned over the course of several years?

I'll take your input for a day or so before I make a call...

Off with his head, Flipper.

Go away Snake, or what ever you call yourself now.

You made the exact same post under your old, banned username.

Calling someone a "commuter pilot" can get you a week in the box but these retards are allowed to flame with impunity. I don't get it.

Flip,

I don't care what happens to the thread, but please sh!tcan Uppercrust. I haven't once seen him post anything even remotely beneficial to this forum.

I'll second the motion...

This website is libelous and defamatory. Just about every airline has one and this one in particular has absolutely no correlation to the current AirTran, and basically tells us nothing. So unless we're going to post all of them, I vote to get rid of this one.

"fumunda"crust has once again proved his worth as a contributer to this website. Well done. What a waste of space.

Uppercrust and Einstein are the same person. Their posts follow each other under every topic. Ban him and he'll just come back as someone else.

Flip.....Axe em

I vote to keep uppercrust. With him around I have to do very little to appear intelligent. Path of least resistance, and all....
