If you don't run off the runway there isn't much to spin.

Here's a novel idea. Stop having accidents and the media will stop talking smack!

If the braking action was so bad why did they attempt to land? If they weren't sure what the braking was, why did they land? If they were close to limits on performance, why did they land? A good pilot knows when not to land more than when to land. How's that for a spin on things? :puke:

Right on! Look at what sector of the industry, and what regionals, are having the accidents and incidents. Don't blame the media. Look in the mirror.

okay i get it! : experienced pilot went to take off...

hey, that was a cheap shot! how does a crew that took off on the wrong runway euqal a captain's wrong decision to let this lowtimer land on a cotaminated runway?

he never should have done it.... if you've ever been a captain , you know that if you act like you're never gonna screw up, you will probably right after you reem out your FO.

stay humble, focused and access the risk. you can't teach flying skills with braking at poor to nil... period

IT was cheap but it proved my point (which it seems you agree with) that low timers and high timers can make mistakes.

No one ever said that the Captain allowed the FO to land in TVC. Perhaps you should wait until the official report comes out before talking a bunch of trash.

#1 - Captain performed landing.
#2 - FO had over 2500 hours TT.

Braking action was reported to the crew to be GOOD, when they touched down the ACTUAL braking action was NIL...... So how about the airport operators provide braking action reports that reflect ACTUAL CONDITIONS.

Oh, SMACK!

Oh, DOUBLE SMACK!

Is it about time someone apologized for making incorrect ASSumptions about the crew's decisions?

Or are you really going to refuse to land at EVERY airport in winter ops with a good braking action report and weather above mins?

Yeah, THAT will keep you gainfully employed... *snicker*

You think people would at least have the decency to wait until the NTSB releases some CVR and FDR data before the mud slinging begins... Jeez.
