Teaching a friend in your personal airplane.
Your friend pays you nothing
No gas money
No oil
NOTHING!!!

Is the simple act of instructing, not for compensation or for hire, for free still considered to be commercial flight time, and do I need to be carefull of not busting my duty rigs(flight time limitations).
 
Duty regs have NOTHING to do with compensation...so yes, it counts towards duty limits both for giving flight instruction and 135/121 rules.
