On 4-16-05 there is a job fair in ATL w/ AirTran and others attending. As far as AirTran is the job fair still as important as in the past to get recognized even w/ multiple recomendations from other AAI pilots?

I have 5 rec on file for @year but my total time is low compared to my friends that got interviews. Is @ 4000hrs total even competetive w/ all of there applicants?

I was told to address the cover letter to Ms. SG w/ AAI when handing paperwork to the AAI booth, is this name still correct?

Thanks for any information.

From what I understand from some of my friends at AirTran, if you meet them at an Air Inc weekend, you get called sooner for an interview. If you don't, you may still get called, but it could take a couple years.

Some of my friends were called within a month after these Air Inc functions, while others I know, still haven't been called.

Coincidence? I don't know.

If you want AirTran, then the Job fair is the way to go.
I was not pushing for AirTran & I had no LORs from AirTran employees...heck, I did not even have my degree at the time.
I probably had about 3600tt at the time.
I dropped off a resume at the last OBAP job fair in Orlando, and they called a month or so later.
Good Luck

From what Pinnicle is saying, they will hire 20% of the plots who attend the show this weekend. The classes start in Apr and May

Yes, it's valuable even if you have guys on the inside to help. You need to put yourself in front of SG at all cost and make that good impression. If you really want the job, then prove it and go to the Siminar. Good luck.

I'll second that. Another factor for us seems to be persistence. If you have letters and are attending Job fairs, it shows you really want to work for this company.

Worked for me. Good luck.

Also, you don't need cover letters, just your resume.
