Hey Carl,

From what I've heard around the Airlink grapevine, NW can bump 9E off of a 9E jumpseat.

Rook

Incorrect. A PCL pilot has priority over the cockpit jumpseat. Per the PCL FOM:

XCM class 4 - Certificated airmen employed in that capacity by Pinnacle Airlines.

XCM class 5 - Certificated airmen employed in that capacity by Northwest Airlines.

XCM class 6 - Certificated airmen employed in that capacity by Mesaba Airlines.

XCM class 7 - Certificated airmen employed by other US 121/135 air carriers that maintain a reciprocal agreement with Pinnacle Airlines.

No NW (or XJ for that matter) guy gets priority over a 9E guy on the flight deck jumpseat... period.

And what the crap is this "regardless of what the FOM says."?? Yeah that's called a manual. That's the rule book.

Whoa...pardon me 'new' captain. I talked to Ed Demott and that's what he told me. He's the J/S coordinator. You go ask him. Till then, get off high mins dude.

We all know this is as useful as hearing Phil's flight plan to the future...

The first time this becomes an issue, or better yet.. the time after the first time it becomes an issue.. we will find out the real policy/rule. Until then, follow the FOM and at least you will not need union representation.

Nah, Doesn't sound like Ed but then stranger things have happened. MSP is a dark, scary place with intrigue and deceit lurking in every corner....

or maybe not.

A Pinnacle guy will always get the JS over a NWA pilot. A NWA employee (any department) travels on the same priority as a Pinnacle employee in the cabin (5). From there it goes DOH, which just about every NWA employee beats just about every Pinnacle employee.

So if there is already a 9E guy in the jumpseat, a NWA guy will get a cabin seat before the next 9E guy.

Agreed.. that is how I understand it...

Ok I had a run in with some guys in MSP over this. And I will apologize for this. This was a rumor started by some gossipers and it leaked around. If I made anyone upset then I apologize. Just as guilty as the party that was discussing it so if I offended anyone with my smart a$$ replies, well I'm sorry.

To Carl,
Peanuckle,
PCL_128
dondk
Lear 70
and anyone else... my bad. Next time I won't take rumor for fact.

Its cool.... biggest thing is not to make up your own manuals/procedures in this business.

still trying to figure how me being high mins is an insult. ;)

Safe flyin bro

Peanuckle, don't worry, you will be on "high mins" till you have 500 hours in the left seat and you've sent your high mins form in a half dozen times.
