I noticed on APC that the upgrades at Jetblue are 2 and 3 years. I've heard that the A320 is closer to 7 years now. What would a new hire today be looking at for an upgrade time?

I would guess at least 7 yrs to CA on the bus. hard to say because we are losing guys to recalls and other carriers and who knows how long that wil last....

The upgrade times you have are how long it has taken the people on the property to upgrade, i.e. the last A-320 guy is a April 05 hire. The junior E190 is probably about two years. So would that keep up for a new hire, the answer is no. Right now the last round of E-190 Captains were all A-320 FO's. You will probably see some E-190 Captains now go to the 320. Aircraft delivery rates etc, people passing on upgrade for QOL. 2 years and 3 years is long gone.

Not sure about long gone. The E-190 upgrade is still probally 2-3 years because so many on the bus that can hold it bypass for QOL. The other reason is the equipment lock for many 320 F.O.'s will block them out before some of the 190 F.O.'s can upgrade. Not sure about the Bus but it will definatley not be 3 years. The pay scale on the 190 is also a reason that some 320 F.O's bypass, as pay is not very different due to productivity on the A-320.
