I hear the rumor every week that 'order is in as soon as contract done.' I don't believe it for a second. First CAL has to get scope relief from mainline, which I fear they will since alot of mainline guys are scared silly about their retirement and the fact that everyone else has 70+ seaters at their respective regionals. Next most likely enters a given regional with a pilot group that is willing to fly the 70 seaters for less then what we hope to get for the 50 seaters. Wonder who that might be? On an 'unrelated' note I heard a Skywest captain the other day talking about how he totally sure come 2007 Skywest will get a big chunk of CAL flying. How wonderful our career earnings are looking as of late...Heavy Set said:Beyond the pay issue, will Coex order EMB-170/190s in the future? Any predictions about scope and whether this could happen?
We went back to the table last week but I don't believe that occurred because of relaxed demands. Those several days didn't go well so we're back to picketing.Lear70 said:Rumor has it that you guys are headed back to the mediation table finally... after relaxing some of your demands to the NMB...?
I don't think that we will have to worry about that spineless group of pilots. The only things those scabs care about is holding onto their retirement. Right now there to scared to even negotiate with management. They will continue to have their flying eroded. Instead of trying to embrace us into one list they want us completely out of their union. My feeling is that we should go for the pay and alot of it. It will only benefit us long term. XJT is making money hand over fist. If mainline won't renew in 2007 then guess what. How are they going to feel about a low cost carrier in all 3 of their hubs?flap operator said:if you push for strong scope, don't complain about the CO boys and girls following suit and scoping you out of 70 seat jets for example. It's a 2 way street.

Lowest price wins. Skyworst undercuts you by 100 bucks a trip...guess who isn't flying the route?!!! Cal is pretty much a bastard with no loyality for a company they "spun off". CAl will cut your throat if it means o'l Gordo can get a certificate or more money added to his bonus to pay all the FA's he get's knocked up!!!! XJT needs to focused on staying profitable and doing what they do best...The flight manuels are hot comodity with other small company's. There needs to be fair compensation for services while putting money into the investors pockets(including Gordo's). I believe management is trying to expand in anticipation for reduced flying from one of it's only customers. I heard a rumor that a mini-hub at LAX was in the works. I for one will believe it when I see it...mmmdonut said:Lots of optimism there at Skywest.... lol

Actually, none of our proposals have even gotten close to Comair rates.....in fact our last proposal was around Comair +10%.Lear70 said:Word had it that you had been "put on ice" by the NMB because they didn't agree with you guys asking for CMR rates or anything near it,
