Fellow corporate pilots;

Is anyone involved in the new IS BAO certification, or currently certified ISO9000? I'm trying to gather information to eventually begin the process of certification. However, at this time $1000 is a large investment when only in the initial stages.

If you are certified or going through the process, can you give me some idea of how the process is going? Does IBAC provide a template for the manual? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Certification

I went to a NBAA Management course last fall and they (NBAA) said there was only one corporation in the US that was IS BAO
certified. I forgot the name of the corporation, however, I do remember they are from Houston.

I did receive some information on IS BAO at the seminar. It looks like a lot of work to get certified. (Part 91 operation operating like a 121 carrier).

I wish I could provide you with more information. It looks like in a few years (how many who knows), you may have to be IS BAO certified to fly in Europe-thats what NBAA mentioned. Those Europeons are always on the front burner on new procedures and requirements.

Good Luck!

I believe that Entergy Services is

Entergy

Became the first US operator to achieve ISBAO certification.

The process was long, but ultimately painless. I don't really know what it has won for us in actual value terms, but we did recieve several accolades for being first!!

If you have any specific questons let me know

regards
Bman
