Heard AT was having a hard time filling classes and that they were going to drop the 500 hr 121 pic req. for a 500 pic 135 or 121. ANy thruth to this?

No, the classes are full with no problem. The pilots have been talking to HR that not allowing 135 guys to apply is just not right. But hey if we start having problem filling classes, that's good negotiation

Apparently some guys have been getting hired without it if they have good amounts of jet time or non-121 PIC time.

There have been quite a few Skyway folks that don't have the 500 121 PIC but they do meet the 2500TT that have at least gotten interviews. Too soon to tell if they actually got the job.

Another Q- is AirTran planning on ever establishing another base to anyone's knowledge?
We keep hearing that MCO and possibly BWI will open up, but no official announcements yet. MCO will probably come first.
