If you have heavy jet time, Korean and Cathay are still hiring. WASINC is hiring for JAL/JAZ. If you have good turbine PIC time, COPA in Panama is hiring. I've talked to a few of the Emirates pilots while on layovers, and they say they're still hiring, as well as some of the other middle-east airlines like Qatar and (maybe) Ethiad. Here in the good 'ol USA, SWA may be soon, as well as many of the regionals, plus Hawaiian. Fractionals have slowed down, but I think they're still in the hiring mode. Look locally for part 91 ops too.

Stay current if possible. Even if it is a Regional. I know NJA wants you to be current in a fast aircraft.

There's probably more hiring going on out there than you think, although most of the jobs are probably with companies and in places you've never heard of.

Qatar Airways hiring Pilots for their 200 plus A/C orders for A-350, B-777, B-787, A-380. New airport opens in 2011. They keep adding flights to USA and far east every month. F/O pay about 9K take home after all allowences paid, housing,utility,transportation, school fees. They have hired direct entery none type rated pilots in left seat of heavy as long as you have couple grand pic on glass cockpit. I flew with guys who joined direct captain on A-330 from flying left seat of a CRJ. Not a bad place to fly heavy and save up some cash until things get better back home.
